My name is Maddi.
A little bit about the girl & her threads:
To quote the opening verse of Don't Stop Believin', "I'm just a small town girl," who knew she wanted to live in the big city. After graduation, I moved to Chicago to pursue a career in Finance. Fast forward to 6 months ago, I decided to create a fashion blog and Instagram account cold turkey. Fashion has been a hobby of mine since I was a little girl twirling around in all the pretty tulle dresses and trying to wear my mom's high heels. I created this blog so that I could document my outfits for myself and also share with others what inspires me. Currently, I'm Finance by day, grad school by night, and blogging/instagramming by...well...every second of free time I can find. Life's been hectic, but I love it, and wouldn't want it any other way. Oh, and, my awesome boyfriend, aka Mr. Photographer, takes all of my pictures on my rose gold iPhone 6S Plus!
Besides fashion, I love:
Cooking - I’m a vegetarian, but a huge foodie. Oh and I don't like cheese, unless it's on pizza, and thin crust only :)
Running & Staying Active - I ran the 2016 BofA Chicago Marathon and I'm currently deciding if I'm signing up for the 2017 marathon. Marathon training would start in June so it's 4 days of running and 1 day of cross-training for me those next 4 months. Right now since I'm not training, I try to stay active 3 days a week with running, Flywheel, and Pure Barre (yes, my legs are still sore after Pure Barre to this day. It hurts so good!).
Traveling - Mr. Photographer and I caught the travel bug and we absolutely love exploring new places in the states and abroad. Our first trip together was a road trip to Nashville and Memphis in December '14. Since then, we go to Milwaukee on a normal basis (only 1.5 hours away and we love brewery tours), we've traveled to San Fran & Sonoma Valley, Rome & Amalfi Coast & Capri in Italy, and most recently Montego Bay in Jamaica. We have some upcoming trips that I can't wait to share with you all!
Crafting - you can find me on the crafts page of Pinterest, I also used to make high-waisted jean shorts like its my job and still wear the ones I made. I haven't bought a pair of jean shorts since maybe 6-7 years ago
Reading - drama + thrillers! I'm currently re-reading The Girl on the Train before I see the movie
Thanks for stopping by!
